7 Weeks

It's true what they say that this time goes by fast. I cannot believe it has been 8 weeks since you decided to make your entrance into this world. But in 8 short weeks you have changed our lives so drastically and so permanently. You are so much fun! You have started to make noises and it seems that you surprise yourself when you find a new one coming out of your mouth. Your smile, which started as a squishy face with one eye open, has blossomed into a full face bright eyed beauty that absolutely lights up the entire room. I wish you could see what a trance your dad is in watching you smile and squirm. You are NEVER still. Always kicking, and kicking hard. You can't stand to have anything on top of your legs and it takes you no time at all to kick off whatever blanket we try to cover you up with. Your dad still uses any opportunity he can to take a nap with you on his chest. I think that at this time it's your favorite place to be.
